Here I go...

This post is a trial and a homage.  My friends Jane and Wolfgang Muller, both incredibly more adept at things cyber than I,  got me up and going on this blog last night.  Even they would say it was surprisingly challenging.  Why even do it, with so much else important to learn as I prepare for Peace Corps service in  Nicaragua?  Never mind Spanish, my primary challenge, there's so much to read about ESL, about the beautiful, sad and warm country I already love, about service generally.  But I want to have this way to share Nicaragua, or my experience of it, with the people who have been so excited for me and tolerant of my endless preoccupation with Peace Corps over the last 14 months.  So here it starts.
